The principal food anchored retail destination in Market Deeping, an affluent market town near Peterborough, the centre boasts the largest public and only long stay parking in the area totaling 270 bays and benefits from a flourishing weekly market.
The scheme is set in a prime location on North Street (A15), the main shopping area in the town centre, which is home to a mixture of national and regional occupiers. The Burghley Centre comprises a total of approximately 32,000 sq ft of retail accommodation, including a new 12,285 sq ft M&S Simply Food and the principal car parking for the town, which provides approximately 160 spaces. National occupiers in the scheme include M&Co, Specsavers, Cancer Research and Age UK. Other national occupiers elsewhere in the town include Boots, Superdrug, Natwest, Lloyds Bank, Heron and Card Factory amongst others.
The Isaac Newton Centre is Grantham’s primary shopping centre with retailers within the scheme including Peacocks, Holland & Barrett, JJB Sports, Costa, Thomas Cook and Superdrug.
The opening of the Burghley Centre in 1989 created a great deal of controversy in Bourne because the £1½ million project involved the demolition of historic buildings on the east side of North Street, notably a chemist's shop that had an original Victorian shop front. At the rear, the cattle market had been disused and derelict for some years and the pens and sale offices provided much of the space needed for the development between North Street and Meadowgate which included a mall with 14 retail units, Budgens' supermarket and a car park with 170 spaces.
The Waterside is the main covered shopping centre in Lincoln. Its location right in the heart of the city, next to the River Witham, gives it a totally unique position. It houses some of the main fashion stores, with some of the most famous names on the high street. Major stores currently include H&M, Topshop, Next and New Look.
