A proposed development, to be anchored by Waitrose, on the site of the former Market Hall and car park at the southern end of the High Street at its junction with St John Street and Worcester Road.

The Market Place will be delivered in two phases. Planning consent has been secured for Phase 1 incorporating an 86 space car park, with the Waitrose store open for trading in Spring 2017.

A planning application has been submitted for Phase 2 which will comprise of 14,500 sq ft (ground floor) of retail and bar/restaurant/cafe space. Individual units available from 1,500 sq ft together with provision for mezzanine and outside seating.

This ancient and prosperous market town is now one of the most attractive places to live in the West Midlands being located 16 miles north east of Worcester and 13 miles south west of Birmingham and having a district population in the region of 88,000 with a wider catchment from the surrounding area. The town is home to one of the UK’s premier public schools which is located close by.
