Mirfield lies approximately 6 miles east of Huddersfield, 9 miles west of Wakefield and 16 miles south of Leeds. The Town is one of a group of popular dormatory towns including Heckmondwike, Cleckheaton and Batley which lie just south of the M62 which serve the Leeds/Bradford conurbation. It is an affluent Town in its own right with an individual identity. It is situated strategically on the River Calder and has a Railway Station with regular Trans Pennine services to Leeds, Manchester and beyond.
