Manchester's Trafford Centre to welcome Flying Tiger

Flying Tiger Copenhagen is set to open a new store at the Trafford Centre in Manchester. The variety retailer has taken a 1,500 sq ft store on the scheme's Upper Peel Avenue for its 81st location in the UK. The store will open its doors on February 14th – Valentine's Day, and will become the brand's first opening of 2025. Flying Tiger at the Trafford Centre will feature the brand's core range alongside its seasonal love-themed products in celebration of Valentine's Day.
Co-op opens first store of 2025

The Co-op has opened its first store of the year in Salford Quays, as the retailer plans to accelerate store openings in 2025. The new store is located on the ground floor of the Anchorage Gateway, Salford Quays, a 29-storey residential development close to the area's media, education, and cultural hubs. The opening comes after Co-op revealed plans to open up to 75 new stores in 2025. In addition, the retailer is planning to undertake major refurbishments at around 80 stores over the course of the year.
American REIT acquires supermarket and drive-through unit in Manchester for £20m

New York-listed real estate investment trust (REIT) W. P. Carey has acquired a supermarket and drive-through restaurant property at a Manchester retail park for £20m. The properties at M Park Lime Square are occupied by Morrisons and McDonald's and are both leased on a triple-net basis. M Park Lime Square is located along the A635 east of Manchester city centre. The scheme benefits from high footfall and is supported by its proximity to densely-populated residential areas.
