<a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/manchester-arndale-shopping-centre-manchester-3676">Manchester Arndale</a> has signed an agreement with Kuoni Travel which will see the premium holiday operator open at the shopping centre.



The new location sees Kuoni relocated from its existing <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/manchester">Manchester</a> branch on King Street, and will enable customers to discuss travel plans with Kuoni's team over a glass of champagne.



The company sells a wide-range of holidays such as family holidays, safaris, honeymoons, cruises, and city breaks.



The letting comes as Manchester Arndale's asset managers, M&amp;G Real Estate and Global Mutual, look to diversify the range of occupiers at the scheme. Over the last 12 months, a number of high profile lettings have seen the centre's footfall increase by 6.3%, with over 46 million people visiting Manchester Arndale and New Cathedral Street during 2023, as occupancy reached over 95%.

KING PINS ANNOUNCES MAY LAUNCH FOR MANCHESTER'S ARNDALE 3

Bowling operator King Pins is launching its second <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/retail-schemes/market-street-manchester-arndale?lat=53.4825554&amp;lng=-2.2415231&amp;n=53.487538970783454&amp;s=53.47736072921654&amp;e=-2.2337920292165667&amp;w=-2.248217370783433&amp;name=Manchester%20Arndale">Manchester</a> site and first city centre location from 17th May at the Arndale Centre.



The brand, which launched their first Manchester site in Trafford Palazzo last summer, signed a deal to occupy a previously vacant unit, creating a second home for ‘The Crown Jewels of Bowling’ in the city centre. 



The second King Pins site will boast a variety of activities for all ages, including its signature state-of-the-art ten-pin and duck-pin bowling, karaoke party rooms, arcade games, American pool, shuffleboard, batting cages and ice-free curling, as well as King Pins debuts for mini golf, tech darts and Wild West Shooting at the new location.



James Travis, brand manager at King Pins, said, “We can hardly contain our excitement as the opening date draws nearer for our second site! To be joining over 200 brands in one of the UK’s leading shopping and leisure destinations, Manchester Arndale, is an honour. Revised plans for the redevelopment of <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/salford">Salford's</a> <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/salford">MediaCity</a> scheme to create an additional 800,000 sq ft of commercial space and 3,200 more homes have been approved by councillors.



In 2016, proposals were approved to create 555,000 sq ft of offices and 1,800 homes at MediaCity, some of which have already been delivered. The revised plans see a net increase of 2,000 homes and 375,000 sq ft of commercial space.



MediaCity is home to some of the UK’s most renowned content and technology companies including BBC, ITV, and Satellite Information Services, as well as 80,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space.



The 53-acre site also accommodates 1.4 million sq ft of offices and over 1,100 homes.

Scheme owners Landsec and Peel said the plans for the next chapter of MediaCity are inspired by the waterfronts of Oslo and Sydney.
