Ikea is set to open the second of a trio of small format stores at Hall Road Retail Park in Norwich. Opening in late August, the homeware retailer's new location will join the recently-opened small format Ikea store in Harlow, Essex. The new format stores have been developed to be faster and more effective to open than traditional Ikea stores, and will all be located at retail parks. The Norwich store – which will open its doors just over 100 days after the lease was acquired – will feature a show room and market hall, and offer online access to the full Ikea range as well as planning services for kitchens and bedroom storage.

Wingstop has opened its first restaurant in Norwich at Chantry Place. The 4,057 sq ft site hosts 115 covers in total and offers the brand's full menu of wings, tenders, burgers, and sides. Last month, Wingstop UK was named the fastest-growing restaurant group in the UK for the third year running by The Sunday Times 100, ranking 42nd on the list. This recognition is a testament to the rapid growth of Wingstop UK, which is set to complete a record year of expansion, with 20 new openings planned by the end of the year.

Men's formalwear brand House of Cavani has signed for a new store at Castle Quarter in Norwich. The Italian-inspired brand has taken a seven-year lease for the store, which will be its 16th in the UK and its third in East Anglia, joining locations in Cambridge and King's Lynn. House of Cavani will join major retail brands at Castle Quarter such as Tk Maxx, Boots, Flying Tiger, Tresspass, and The Entertainer, alongside competitive socialising operators including Boom Battle Bar, Putt Putt Social, and Escape Hunt.
