Castle Quarter in Norwich has been sold to private clients of asset manager Maritime Capital. The 370,000 sq ft scheme opened in 1993 as Castle Mall, Norwich's first indoor shopping mall. It was rebranded in 2019 to Castle Quarter and has since transitioned from a traditional shopping centre to a hub for social, leisure, and lifestyle uses alongside retail. The scheme currently has a 50/50 split between retail and leisure tenants.

The RO Group has acquired a freehold Burger King drive-through restaurant in Norwich for £1.2m. The 1,800 sq ft restaurant is let to BKUK Flame, a major UK Burger King franchisee, and includes both drive-through and dine-in facilities. The property is let on a 15-year full repairing and insuring lease from May 2021, with over 10 years unexpired. The current passing rent is £65,000 per annum, subject to five-yearly upward-only open market rent reviews, with the next review due in May 2026.

Real estate asset and investment manager Catella APAM has welcomed four new openings in as many weeks to Chantry Place in Norwich. The spate of arrivals began on 21 July with Wingstop, which took a 4,400 sq ft unit fronting onto Chantry Plain. The opening comes amid a period of rapid expansion for the chicken wing restaurant chain, which recently made its city debut at Liverpool ONE and add a fifth site in Leeds.
