Sephora has opened its first store in Northern Ireland at Victoria Square in Belfast. The store – which is the beauty retailer's first to open in 2026 – extends to 2,550 sq ft and is Sephora's 13th location in the UK to date. The new opening is the first of several in 2026, as the retailer looks to reach 20 total UK store locations by the end of 2026. The next store is set to open at Bristol's Cabot Circus this spring.

Astrid & Miyu has opened its first store in Northern Ireland at Victoria Square in Belfast. The contemporary jewellery brand has taken a 1,800 sq ft store at the scheme, which features a piercing salon and a silver recycling scheme. Meanwhile, beauty brand Space NK is also joining the destination, relocating from its city centre store to Victoria Square. The brand is taking a 3,500 sq ft unit on the lower ground level, adjacent to Reiss, AllSaints, and Astrid & Miyu.

NewRiver sells Northern Irish shopping centre for £58.8m

NewRiver has completed the sale of the Abbey Centre in Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland, in an off-market transaction for £58.8m. The real estate investment trust said the sale price was in line with the March 2024 and March 2025 book values, and reflected a net initial yield of 9%. Situated six miles north of Belfast city centre, the Abbey Centre spans 320,000 sq ft and is home to over 70 shops alongside a food court and a doctors' surgery.
