Two neighbouring retail properties on Leamington Spa's Regency Parade in the West Midlands have been acquired by a family owned business for a combined £1.68m. The Dougall Group, which focuses on convenience retail, has acquired 38 and 40 Parade in a deal supported by Bond Wolfe. Number 38 extends to 3,497 sq ft and is let to Danish variety store chain Flying Tiger Copenhagen, producing a passing rent of £75,000 a year.

Sheet Anchor Evolve, part of the M Core group, has acquired two retail assets in Coventry and Birmingham. The group has acquired Lower Precinct in Coventry, a fully let shopping centre which extends to approximately 221,600 sq ft. The scheme is anchored by national retailers including H&M, New Look, River Island, Superdrug, and Home Bargains. Sheet Anchor Evolve has also acquired The White House and 5-9 Lower Temple Street in Birmingham.

Popeyes has opened its first drive-through in the West Midlands at Coventry's Arena Shopping Park, as the scheme welcomes over 30,000 sq ft of new lettings. The fried chicken chain's new location extends to 2,281 sq ft, offering its full menu of chicken, tenders, wraps, with up to 66 internal and 24 external covers. The brand joins the existing F&B offer at Arena Shopping Park which includes the likes of Costa, Burger King, Nando’s, and M&S Café.
