Frasers Group is set to open a number of stores at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/queensgate-shopping-centre-peterborough-4569">Queensgate</a> in <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/peterborough">Peterborough</a>, occupying the former John Lewis unit.



The group will open under the Frasers and Sports Direct brands in the former department store, taking a total of 92,500 sq ft of space.



The Frasers concept store will house a number of brands across men's, women's, and kidswear, as well as a homeware and beauty offering. Sports Direct will offer products from a range of sports and leisure brands, as well as a wider offer from Frasers Group brands including USC, Jack Wills, and GAME.



Ed Ginn, director of investment management at scheme owner Invesco Real Estate, said: “The signing of Frasers Group is a significant step in our drive to transform Queensgate into a leading retail and leisure destination. Positioned in the top 1% of UK shopping centres, we are committed to investing in brands that will not only enhance the centre, but share our ethos for excellence, innovation and providing an exemplary experience. The quality of offer that Frasers Group provides will help attract an even bigger catchment, repeat visits, and longer dwell time, as we continue to evolve Queensgate with the needs and desires of our visitors firmly in mind.”



A spokesperson for Frasers Group added: “We are pleased to confirm that we will be opening a new Frasers concept store in Peterborough’s Queensgate Shopping Centre, bringing customers the world’s most aspirational brands, as well as a dynamic beauty hall. A 30,000 sq. ft Sports Direct store will also open, featuring a USC, Jack Wills and GAME. We are big believers in physical retail and these openings mark an exciting time for the Group as we continue to expand our store portfolio across the UK and Europe.”



Following the completion of works, Frasers Group will take up residency at Queensgate in 2025.

Black Sheep Coffee has made its regional debut in the east of England at <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/scheme/queensgate-shopping-centre-peterborough-4569">Queensgate</a> in <a href="https://completelyretail.co.uk/shops-to-rent/peterborough">Peterborough</a>.



The operator has opened a 1,800 sq ft kiosk on the ground floor of the centre, offering waffles, bagels, toasties, and smoothie bowls alongside its Robusta coffee blend.



It joins a growing number of food and beverage operators at the Peterborough centre, such as Turtle Bay, Tap &amp; Tandoor, and Burger King. Other kiosk units at Queensgate include Churros-Locos, Millie's Cookies, and Bubble CiTea.



Ed Ginn, director of investment management at asset manager Invesco Real Estate, said: “We are pleased to welcome another established coffee operator to the centre, an expanding brand that has chosen Queensgate to make its regional debut. We know that Black Sheep Coffee’s offer will suit the needs of our community, which will play an important role as we continue to develop the wider scheme.”



The news comes as Black Sheep Coffee <a href="https://news.completelyretail.co.uk/black-sheep-coffee-targets-expansion/">continues its expansion drive</a>, with the chain targeting prime locations with high footfall and traffic.
