Colliers International are instructed by Mansfield District Council to seek a partner to deliver the re-development of a gateway site at Stockwell Gate North in the town centre of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Formerly the town’s bus station and currently used as a temporary car park, the site is prominently located at a busy road junction on the edge of the town centre and is seen as suitable for a mix of uses.

Mansfield District Council are seeking partners to assist them in delivering a landmark, mixed use scheme on this high priority site. The structure of the partnership between the chosen developer and Mansfield District Council as both site owner and local authority is to be agreed. The procurement of the development partner will be through a streamlined process that is compliant with the current European Union provisos.

Mansfield is the largest town in Nottinghamshire with a catchment population of circa 277,000 people. It is located approximately 15 miles north of Nottingham and 24 miles south east of Sheffield in the East Midlands. The town is accessed from the national road network via Junctions 28 and 29 of the M1 motorway and benefits from a new transport interchange, incorporating a bus and railway station on the Robin Hood Line, linking Nottingham and Worksop. Major employers within Mansfield area include Linney Group, Glenair UK, SDC Trailers and Pendragon PLC. The town also benefits from its proximity to the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and its association with the legend of Robin Hood. Tourist trade is further boosted by the presence of Center Parcs Sherwood Forest approximately 9 miles east of the town.
