Stirling is situated approximately 27 miles north east of Glasgow and 38 miles north west of Edinburgh and has a population of 32,700 (source: Census results) with a large catchment area. Stirling is reputed to be the third fastest growing area of Scotland both in terms of the projected population of working age and expected employment. Stirling is well served by public transport provided by buses and train services from Stirling Railway Station which serve the area north to Perth, Inverness and Aberdeen, south west to Glasgow and east to Edinburgh. Edinburgh International Airport is approximately 30 miles south east of Stirling. Stirling has the benefit of a good road network with the A9 which runs north to south through the city centre, the A811 (Dumbarton Road) and the A905 (Kerse Road). Motorway links are good with the M9 and M876 being within easy reach of Stirling.
