What is CompletelyRetail.co.uk?
CompletelyRetail.co.uk (CR) is a free-to-view specialist retail listings
website showing available shops across the UK and Ireland.
What’s CR’s mission?
To provide the retail industry with a significantly better place to find
and market shops, at a sensible price.
Why Completely Retail?
Because we believe we offer the most complete, specialist retail
listings site in the UK, covering high street, shopping centre and
retail warehousing properties. We list all major retail schemes and show
all supermarkets and department stores on an intuitive map based search.
This shows retail properties in context with a town centre’s
retail provisions and gives prospective tenants the information and
tools they need to make informed decisions on their next retail
property.
Who’s behind CR?
CR has been developed by
Squeeze,
a well established and independently owned property marketing agency.
CR is sponsored by British Land and supported by Shop Agents Society
and Accessible Retail, two of the industry’s leading
professional associations, with a combined membership of over 1700. We
have industry wide support from a growing number of institutional
landlords and leading agents.
Why has CR been developed?
There is a widespread demand for a fresh approach to retail property
marketing. CR is the product of 12 months research and development in
this area. We’ve listened to the retail property community, and we
think we have produced something that ticks all the boxes for all types
of users.
Who is CR for?
There’s something for everyone in retail. Retailers can find
comprehensive information on the retail mix of towns and find available
shops. Agents can list shops and use specialist tools to market
opportunities and measure response. Landlords and institutional property
investors can provide the retail community with detailed information on
their portfolio.
How does CR differ from the competition?
Well for starters we’ve built CR from the ground up to be a
specialist retail only website. You won’t find a lock up garage in
Cricklewood on CR, but if it’s shops you want, it’s the
place to come. We also cater for all sectors of retail and have clever
tools like dynamically updated scheme plans and tenancy schedules. Our
map based search engine shows available property in context with all
major retail points of interest. As far as we know CR is the only place
you can find all shopping centres, retail parks, supermarkets, and
department stores completely free-of-charge.
Who provides CR with property data?
We get all our facts and figures from a number of sources. Agents and
landlords provide us with property listings and scheme information. Our
friends at Experian provide us with GOAD, town centre reports and our
retail points of interest. Our researchers fill in any gaps. Plus, if
you're the landlord, asset manager or main agent on a retail scheme or
development then you can let us know and we'll update any information
free-of-charge. You can use the purple 'Something Missing' button that's
on any unsponsored listings page.
How much is CR?
CR is completely free-to-view. All property listings, map based
searches, all sponsored scheme information and a limited amount of
information on non-sponsored schemes is available to everyone. The site
is paid for by people advertising shops and wanting to sponsor their
scheme.
If I register for CR will I get bombarded with junk email?
Absolutely not, that's not what we're about at all. However most
registered users people want to receive updates and emails about
relevant properties - CR is a marketing site after all. But the system
allows you to choose relevant areas of interest, so you won't get anything
you're not expecting, unless you want to! For more details please see
our
privacy
policy
Why should I sponsor a scheme?
Scheme sponsorship gives your retail property an enhanced and freely
available branded mini-website within CR. For a full list of benefits

How do I find my scheme?
It’s easy. Use the scheme search on the
home page and search by name,
town, agent or owner. Or you can perform a more detailed search via the
Shopping Centre (red) or Retail Warehousing (blue) pages. In the
extremely unlikely event that your scheme is not on CR, wrists will be
slapped here, and we’d be delighted to add it free of charge.
Simply

us.
How do I update or amend my scheme’s details?
We are obsessed with making CR as up-to-date as possible. If
you’re the landlord, asset manager or main agent on a scheme (and
we’ll check!) if you let us know what's what then we'll update any
information free-of-charge. Simply use the purple ‘Something
Missing’ button that’s on any unsponsored listings page.

How do I list my available shops on CR?
Easy peasey. Give us a shout and we’ll explain all. We have
simple, inexpensive packages for any number of properties, any size of
agency.
When I advertise retail property will you share my property information
with any third party sites?
Absolutely not. As long as your property details are on CR, they remain
under your control. Of course we want to get your opportunity in front
of all the relevant people, and that’s why our property listings
are entirely free-to-view, on CR and through the Retail Week website.
But there are companies out there who sell on your property data, even
try to sell it back to you! We have measures in place to police any
unusual activity or misuse of the site, and any data trawling or
reselling of CR data is strictly forbidden under our
terms and
conditions.
Can I use GOAD on CR?
List a property with us and use one of our 450,000 GOAD plan extracts to
show the property in context with it’s surroundings. And if you
have the correct license you can upload your own GOAD plans.
Can I link my website listings to CR, or can CR provide my site with
up-to-date listings?
Yes of course. We’ve built CR to provide and accept feeds in pretty
much any format, hopefully without much jiggery-pokery at all.
What are dynamic PDF particulars?
Get branded PDF particulars produced directly from the information
within CR. We set you up a template, you do the rest. And if you
change the details on the CR database then the brochure gets updated
automatically too.
What is the CR butterfly effect?
This is retail marketing utopia. Put a property on CR, link your
corporate website and have dynamic PDF particulars too. Make one
change on CR and everything is updated instantly. Fabulous. Find out
more
here.
Can I link my shopping centre consumer website to my CR scheme listing?
Absolutely, it’s great way to let potential retailers know all the
detail about any available units on your scheme, and to get them in
touch with your letting agents. We'll even keep it up-to-date for you
if you sponsor your listing. For more information
contact us.
What are Networks and Groups?
Another free-to-use feature that’s coming soon. Use CR to create
networks of colleagues and share information on properties, on deals,
or just about lunch!
Can I put an office, warehouse or any other type of property on CR?
Er, no, there wouldn’t be much point as people come to CR for shops.
There’s a clue in the name after all. However the line does get a
little fuzzy when it comes to retail and leisure property so you might
find a few of those on CR.
I am having technical difficulties - what do I do?
We’re extremely sorry to hear that. If you can't find your answer on
this FAQ page then either use the Support function on your user page
or please contact us, and we'll put you right in a jiffy.
How will people find CompletelyRetail.co.uk?
CR is already moving up the search engine rankings organically and we
fund things like Google adwords to make sure we get our
name and your properties to as wide an audience as possible. Costs us
a small fortune, but you’re worth it. Our links
with Accessible Retail and Shop Agents Society mean we can let their
1700 members know we’re open for business.
What’s next for CR?
We’re committed to the ongoing development of CR. We’ll be
offering all sorts of new data products.
The CR user group, which is made up of retail property experts from all
sectors, meets regularly to discuss enhancements to the site. If you
have an idea or suggestion you'd like to see on CR then please let us
know. And if it’s sensible and we like it, we'll do our best to
include it in our next version.
Do you have any feedback you’d like to share with us?
We’d really love to hear from you. Good or bad, bring it on. Please
use the Support pages in your user logon, or click the feedback button
at the foot of every page.
